The Dreamscheme network
Map of Stoke-on-Trent

Dreamschemes are community based projects which engage young people in to community activities such as environmental clean-ups, art works, conservation activities etc. For every hour each young person takes part in these activities (work), they gain points which go towards dream trips of their choice. These dream trips can include visits to theme parks, water parks, paintballing, camping or anywhere the young people would like to go.

The Dreamscheme is about empowering young people to increase their levels of self-confidence, self-esteem and sense of pride and belonging in their local community. Dreamscheme groups are run by the community for the community and must involve local adults.

In Stoke-on-Trent, Dreamschemes are currently running in Hanley, Townsend, Blurton, Bentilee and Fegg Hayes. There are also Dreamschemes up and down the country and as far away as Uganda.
